The story of a MVP Bride
"Daddy, you have to call me 'Your Majesty,' I'm the princess after all!" Katherine demanded with a stamp of her little foot. Her father chuckled but obliged the five year old. "Excuse me, Your Majesty. That is a lovely dress you're wearing." "Thank you," she said with an approving nod of her head, "I'm going to have a pretty one just like this when I get married." She started spinning so he could see her skirt flair out and fell over into her father's arms. "Well Princess, the Queen is waiting to take you shopping..." Her face lit up and she wiggled out of her father's arms. "Ok daddy, love you, bye!" she reached up and kissed his cheek before scampering off to find her mother.
---
A gaggle of girls spilled through the front door, Katherine among them, laughing and carrying shopping bags brimming with decorations. "Mom, dad, this prom planning is hard, and it's all turning out to be so expensive. Why can't I find anyone to work with that is both amazing and affordable?" She flopped on the couch and her friends spread out around the room. Katherine's best friend Robyn chimed in, "Yeah, we appointed Kath head of the prom committee because she's got such great taste and is such a good shopper. Making a night of magic happen on a budget just isn't easy." "Mom," Katherine asked, "Is planning a wedding this hard?" "Oh sweetie, it's worse," her mom answered, "But it's worth it in the end, and this will be too."
---
"Oh my gosh mom, do I look ok?" David will be here soon, and I really, really want him to like me..." Katherine ran around her room trying to pin up her hair and find her purse at the same time. "Kath, calm down, you look gorgeous, now let me zip you up." The doorbell rang and Katherine jumped. "He's here! I'm not ready! And he's here! Don't let daddy threaten him, please mom!" She begged, while her mother chased after her and tried to zip her dress. "Princess, I'm not going to threaten him. If I happen to mention my gun collection in conversation..." "DADDY!" she interruped him and he turned and walked down the hall so she wouldn't see him laugh.
---
"Katherine, let's go for a walk, it's a beautiful night." David grabbed her jacket and they headed for the nearby park, walking hand in hand, a common ritual. When they got to the park they curled up on a bench under the stars and David turned to her, "Kath, I love you so much, I don't ever want to spend a day without you." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring box, "Will you marry me?" Katherine wasn't expecting this, but she was ecstatic none the less. She kissed him and whispered one word, "Yes."
---
In the following months Katherine could be found among a myriad of dresses, accessories, flowers, invitations, seating charts, and friends. Robyn helped her find the perfect dress at way under budget, her mother had great ideas for the flowers, and David was actually managing the outgoing and incoming invitations quite well. She felt like everything was under control and under budget, everything except a DJ, photographer, and videographer. The only ones she had found were very expensive and weren't up to her standards. One day an internet search turned up MVP Events. The MVP website was impressive, but the work they did and their prices were even more impressive. Katherine and David met with them and booked them immediately. Katherine loved the online music request forms for the DJ, David loved the personalization their video would get, her bridesmaids loved that they got fun DVDs and photos, and her mother loved the beautiful coffee table albums!
---
Katherine's room was a mess. Bags from last minute shopping trips, seating charts, leftover ribbon from the centerpieces, makeup, bridesmaids gifts, information packets, and lists of contacts were among the many things cluttering every possible surface. The wedding was just two days away and she was worrying about so much. She thought back to prom, her mom was right, planning a wedding was worse, but she knew that MVP Events had their part of the day covered and she rested easier knowing that no matter what other disasters befell teh day, that her amazing MVP team would still perform wonderfully.

The DJ called everyone's attention to her and her father as they walked out onto the dance floor. She twirled in her father's arms and fought back tears. "Daddy," she whispered, "thank you for everything." "Katherine, you'll always be my princess, and the day you put together is really worthy of my little princess." He kissed her forehead and motioned for her new husband to take his place.
